Kelli Sallman

Many moons ago, Kelli Sallman earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature at Texas Christian University as the Outstanding Senior in Liberal Arts. She subsequently earned a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary and taught writing there as an adjunct. Who knew she would love to teach so much and watch new writers bloom into wordsmiths?

Kelli Sallman has freelanced as an editor, writer, and mentor since 2001, specializing in memoir, theological nonfiction, and literary fiction. A poet, she also publishes a bimonthly, arts-and-theology mini e-journal, Inklings & Inspiration, and is showcasing work January–February 2022 in a creative community exhibition at the Four Chapter Gallery in the Crossroads district of Kansas City.

Other notable credits include her work for Insight for Living and Hope for the Heart, the books The Associate Pastor, If In Doubt, and The Encore Curve, and several articles for Christian Post and Common Good, a publication of Made to Flourish.

She and her husband John are contemplating what it will be like to have a bag of chips hang around the house for more than an hour after their third kid, an athlete, graduates into adulthood this year and joins his siblings in all things college and beyond.
