Dorothy Jeffrey
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dorothy Jeffrey grew up moving frequently, taking art lessons whenever they were available. She came to Kansas City to attend Calvary University, graduating in 2007 with a B.S. in Christian Broadcasting and Music. She also continued her art education by taking lessons at UMKC.
She began designing sets for theatre productions and became hooked, designing more than a dozen sets since then. Favorites include Pirates of Penzance, Miracle Worker, Annie Get Your Gun, and Much Ado About Nothing.
She taught for three years at Whitefield Academy as a Drama teacher and another three years at Grandview Christian School as the Junior High and High School Art teacher and Drama teacher. Currently, she uses her teaching skills to homeschool the two lovely daughters God has blessed her and her husband with. Although she enjoys exploring all different kinds of media, her favorite remains oils and acrylics.
We’re grateful Dorothy brings her love of beauty to Imago Arts!
